Miriam Möller has designed her spring/summer collection for the woman who has been settled. Decisive and clear, the distinctive Möller cut is straight without pretended severity, retaining a typically feminine silhouette in all models and staying true to the Hamburg designer's vision.
Natural pastels of pearl, lavender, rose, ivory, orange, havana and powder lend an easy flow to the transition from beachwear to women's wear. No less pleasing are selected fabrics like silk satin and georgette, silk crêpe and a pastel crinkled silk that reflect this summer's theme, which harks back to another time and place and creates a special mood.
Monte Carlo, reminiscent of another era and with a feeling all its own, is back. Miriam Möller, looking at the 1950s, has found inspiration for her collection in an icon of that time, whose style she blends with new elements and re-interprets for the present day. Then as now, Grace Kelly's look was an expression of special elegance, modern and subtle, allowing us a glimpse of her deep inner poise.
Precise cutting refines this stylish elegance and shows that fashion implying a certain status can articulate much more than straightforward simplicity.
Which holds true for beachwear as well. Miriam Möller's love of detail is an essential element of her designs for the beach or the pool. Little starfish or sea horses in fabricated horn hold together bikinis in an array of colors – camouflage, zebra, khaki and a turquoise leopard skin look-alike – graceful as well as sexy.
